I have had Old English Sheepdogs for over 25 years. I can't imagine having any other breed. They are the most loving family oriented dogs in the world. I have two males and three females. Their names are Simon, Summer, Skylar, Max and Madison. They all love to play with my children and go for truck rides.
I work from home so they are always with me. They follow me around the house when they are inside and when they are outside playing and get tired they like to sleep up on the screened in porch under the fan.
This is not a kennel or a puppy mill. I am just a owner who has loved the breed forever and I like being able to share that love of OES with others. I enjoy having a couple of litters a year to love and play with. There is nothing better than getting puppy love. I take great pride in the puppies we have for adoption. They are a part of our family. I always tell everyone that gets one of the puppies that "this is your new puppy but it will always be my puppy". I feel that I have made the choice to breed my OES and with that choice comes responsibility. If for any reason the family that has adopted one of my puppies can not take care of it at any time in it's life then I will take the puppy/dog back and take care of it. I just want my puppies to have the best life they can possibly have and I will happily do my part in making that possible.
Stormie retired.
Stormie (above) had one litter of beautiful puppies before she retired.
Sugar (above) is up for adoption.
She has never had any puppies and I will ask whoever adopts her to have her spayed.
She is not a rescue and does not need to be rescued. I take the ownership of my dogs very serious and only adopt them out when absolutely necessary. It broke my heart to have to part with Stormie even though my Aunt has her (and takes very good care of her) and I'm sure I will miss Sugar just as much. But I am looking for just the right family for her. One that really wants a dog that is grown and will give her a good loving home. I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and I will not let just anyone adopt her.
We have rescued many Old English Sheepdogs over the years. I am happy to say that we always found a great loving home for each and every one of them. If you know of an OES that needs to be rescued please contact us or your nearest OES rescue group. They all need loving homes that can properly care for them.
This is Moose.
He was a rescue.
